Spider-man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and…The Fantastic Dresser?

From The Scottish Sun: SPIDER-MAN creator Stan Lee is to unveil the world’s first gay superhero.

High school basketball star Thom Creed hides his developing superpowers along with his sexuality.

Former Marvel Comics boss Stan, 86 — who also created the Hulk and the X-Men — will unleash the character in an hour-long TV drama being shot in the US.

If it’s a hit there it will cross to the UK.

TV execs hope it will rival the huge success of shows likes Heroes.

Lee developed the idea of a gay character from the award-winning novel Hero by Perry Moore.

A TV insider said: “It was only a matter of time before we had our first gay superhero. And if there is one man who can make him a success it is Stan Lee.

“There’s a real buzz among comic book fans.”

So, apparently he’s going to slap criminals into justice?

How can a gay superhero stand out with his sure to be fantastic costume when the entire superhero community is already garishly dressed?

And lastly, do they really think it’s going to perform as well as Heroes?

Actually, this is the last question: Stan Lee is 86??? Goooood grief…the man is still working!

Whatever this hero may be, he’s far from being the first gay superhero. Far from it.

And don’t knock Stan The Man, baby. He’s still talking the talk and walking the walk, though most of his newer ideas are pretty lame. 😉

They REALLY think that HEROES has been a success? It’s pretty much the lowest common denominator of TV superheroes.

And, dude, please get rid of that silly Snapshots plugin, will ya? It’s so annoying when it pops up as I hover over a link…

That’s what I thought too, man. Isn’t Batgirl gay now? And wasn’t there some male character that had his own comic?

Maybe they just mean the first gay male superhero on TV…I dunno.

And Stan Lee is the worst writer on the planet in one regard: CHARACTER NAMES. Happy Hogan? Pepper Potts? Rhodey Rhodes? These are all from one comic…there are dozens more…

  4. Chris Hunter says:

Not Batgirl as far as I know, but the new Batwoman is supposed to be gay.

There are several male gay superheroes that are out there: Northstar, Midnighter, Apollo, Ultimate Colossus… The list could go on and on, unfortunately.

And, for the record, Stan Lee is one of the worst comic book writers out there, but he created some awesome stuff back in the day that has now landed in much better hands, thank God…
