Blinding White

I used to post a lot of poetry back at the very first site I had. It’s been years since I publicly shared a poem I’d written, and I’m not sure why I chose this one, but here it is…

And before you complain…it is written in blank verse. Sorry.

Jerk, you can’t put lumps in my throat while I’m working in a 24 hour starbucks, inbetween throngs of angry college students eyeballing my seat.

It makes me too soft to beat them down with my massive MBPro while they try to steal my table =p

That one hit home doode. Not sure entirely of why, but it did.

    Ha…thanks, man.

When people want my seat at Starbucks, I just angle my eyebrows at them (a dramatic gesture, to be sure). Also, reason #6,472 that your new locale is sweet: 24/7 Starbucks. Seriously?

Shari and I are coming that way early ’09. If we can, I’d love to meet up, dude.

Doode, just say the word! Oh and if you guys wanted to stay with us, we live right in soma, across from the moscone center, everythings pretty stinking close, definitely walking distance, so we could run around town and not have to worry about the bart-few (12am Bart curfew LOL ) 😀

Either way, would be a blast.

    And… Website… Just sayin =p

  4. ryanaustindean says:

    Haaaa…the bart-few?

I’m not sure what area we’re staying in yet (I know nothing about the area), but you can betch’er bottom dollar that I’ll be trying to meet up. There would be no excuse. Also, it would probably do you good to hear a Southern accent again for a while.

And I have not forgotten about the site. I’m still slowly clawing my way past my enormous guilt complex.
