I had the privilege to take some shots for the new lineup of the recently-renamed Alarm the Arrival this Sunday. We’re going to shoot together again soon, but they needed some new stuff for their MySpace page, which was also redesigned.

Muchos gracias, amigos!

This one probably looks best full-size (click to see it). Parking garage look familiar, anyone?

    Ryan,

Great! These pictures are really good. The two I find the most interesting are the one where the guy on the far right is jumping (while his cohorts are all standing seriously still) and the other with the guy in the vest holding the stuffed yellow M&M.

    Keep it up!

Dude…that’s pretty sweet. I especially love the texture of the second one, and my favorite out of the whole set has to be the fifth one–I love the placement of the guys and the location is just too awesome.

when did you become a fracking band photographer? these rock!

All the group shots are sick. Especially like the bench shot. Wow.

    Thank y’all!

Armando, remind me to tell you the story of the place where we shot those pics.

Victoria, that texture is a combination of two shots I took of the sidewalk of the Louisiana Boardwalk. If you look closely, you can see a fossilized piece of gum in there somewhere. ; )

Matt, much appreciated. I’ve known these guys forever, and even taken some other shots of them, but not within the past 9 months. Hopefully it’ll open doors so I can shoot some more band stuff. I liked being able to use some different locations that just wouldn’t be feasible with senior/family portraits.

    Anyhoo, thank you guys again!

Thank you, Toby. You need to hear they’re new stuff. They keep getting better.

  7. Armando says:

Hey, BTW what lens are you using for these shots?

  8. ryanaustindean says:

Used mostly the Canon 28mm f/1.8 lens on this shoot. I pulled out the 85mm for about 5% of it, but mostly the 28.

Andria, your latest comment proves that you are either…

    1. A liar.
    2. Insane.

Seriously, I’ve been so jealous of the shots you’ve been posting on your blog. Don’t even act like that.

    : )
